I joined LARC and became involved
with Amateur Radio in 2000.
At that time I never would have imagined how
far I would come since that summer when I first joined the club and
purchased this rather large book to study for my first Tech. License. I
now hold an Extra
Class license.
I'm a VE for the ARRL and in 2005 I became the President of
LARC. Obviously I've become very involved with Amateur Radio, but
more importantly I've made a whole lot of new friends who I enjoy spending
as much time with as possible.
It's not just a hobby, but a
lifestyle that I wish I had gotten involved with years ago. The
hobby and whatever club you belong to are as important as you make them,
spend some time with both and make the most out of them that you
can.
